pics4peace started with an Artist Workshop. That this succeeded so magnificently was not a matter of course. We had super partners for this start, to whom we all say a big thank you:

Winfried Muthesius of course, the Artist from Berlin, but also internationally successful. Then Prof. Uli Braun and his students from the FHWS, Department of Design. The city of Würzburg with Mayor Christian Schuchardt, the Department of Culture, starting with the then speaker Muchtar Al Ghusain, to the head of the department Ms. Sybille Linke and her assistant Ms. Franziska Fröhlich. All of them and many more from the municipal school area, the public relations, the youth area ..., were always supportive on our side on the part of the city.

The Regierung von Unterfranken  (Government of Lower Franconia) with Mrs. Voltscheff was also a brilliant partner. We were supported by the Kulturfonds Bayern at the workshop. Thanks to the Ministry! The government in turn accompanied the process. THANK YOU for that, especially to you Mrs. Voltscheff! Thanks also to the High School Deutschhaus-Gymnasium and their boss Mr. Schmitt, who so kindly accommodated us for the practical work!

A big thank you also goes to the Staatliche Museum für Franken (State Museum for Franconia). Director Dr. Erich Schneider was courageous when he agreed to present modern art with historical works. But the success proved him right. Many people at the Musuem auf der Festung contributed significantly to this, but especially Veronika Genslein, who acted as curator and was our contact person, as well as Sarah Merabet, who managed the public relations. It was so much fun working with you guys! Thank you!

Then, of course, our media partners: the Mainpost and Bayerische Rundfunk. We thank them very much for the good cooperation and critical support! Quality journalism is essential for democracy. If it disappears, the beginning of the end has begun.
