The Importance of Women

Did you know that mixed teams achieve better results and that companies with management bodies that are made up of roughly equal numbers of men and women even perform significantly better economically than those with purely male members? This is also true in research. In reality, however, it is of secondary importance. Why?

  •     What do boys and girls dare to do?
  •     What about young women in education and employment?
  •     What happens when women give birth?
  •     Why are the conditions so much more difficult for them than for men?

Isn't something going wrong? The problems we have to solve in the world right now are huge. And yet we hardly find any women at the top management level. Weird? Let's talk about the reasons for it and what we need to change!

The video "Die Frau denkt! - Über dei Bedeutung der Frau für unsere Gesellschaft" ("The woman thinks! - On the importance of women for our society") invites us to do so. Today we are presenting it at a press conference at Würzburg Town Hall with Mayor Judith Jörg, who also supports the project. If you are still looking for material to learn more about the background of the play, you can find it HERE

The video was created together with the theater project about the women's rights activist Elisabeth Dauthendey. The play and booklet, published by Daniel Osthoff in 2023, are entitled "Hannah and Elisabeth". The live recording of the premiere is also available as a video on the pics4peace YouTube channel under  "Theaterstück "Hannah und Elisabeth": Besser leben, Frauen beteiligen!"  ("Theaterstück "Hannah und Elisabeth: Live better, get women involved!". Both videos are suitable for use in schools and youth groups to talk about the relationship between women and men, the opportunities for participation and the importance of women for our society.

Further contributions on this topic will be successively developed and will follow here.

We would like to thank all those involved and Demokratie leben Würzburg for their support!
